First United Methodist Church offers adults the opportunity for worship, study, fellowship and service. Bible study groups for adults are ongoing. Lay academies are held periodically for those who want to deepen their faith. Sunday School classes are available for adults of all ages and meet during the Sunday School hour on Sunday morning. United Methodist Men is a men’s fellowship whose primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men. United Methodist Men meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the church. All men are welcome. United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand the concept of missions through participation in the global mission of the church. SOS has the same focus as United Methodist Women but is for the younger women of the church. United Methodist Women are organized in Circle groups, which meet at various times in the month. Check with the church office for circle meeting times. There is a place for all women who want to participate in this fellowship.
